Pretty easy to get discouraged in the sea of rejection. The best thing I heard was at a recent conference, an editor told me, "you only need one yes."
That's so so true! And it's something, I think, that's important for all writers to remember while querying or on submission. Rejection is tough, but it's a part of the writing life, and despite all the nos, it really only takes one yes.
This jus how I see it, so it felt good to hear it said again. Thanks.
