The temptation of jumping in and bypassing the gatekeepers is certainly a great one, but gatekeepers are there for a reason and it shows. As I have said in several of my own blog posts, if you are an indie author, you need to employ the services of a good editor, one who specializes in your genre. A good editor acts as a gatekeeper in lieu of a publisher. Sadly, so many of the indie books I read suffer from the lack of a gatekeeper.Robert Frenchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-53635449977236616892011-10-26T18:46:15.167-07:002011-10-26T18:46:15.167-07:00Thanks for stopping by! In fact, I feel kind of bad for them because their jobs wouldn't be easy. I am grateful for gatekeepers even though at moments you always forget the gratefulness. :)Abby Fowersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-68845037663847639192011-10-03T08:01:06.945-07:002011-10-03T08:01:06.945-07:00Gatekeepers are not evil. The ability to get your work out there on your own is a gift that should not be abused.Kristahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10348921731053503531noreply@blogger.com
