I have a story that I really want to see to the end, but I keep on getting stuck.Glynis Jollyhttp://speculationsimpressed.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-33039475826503458452014-09-06T06:10:16.208-07:002014-09-06T06:10:16.208-07:00Do you think it might be a good alternative to plo...Do you think it might be a good alternative to plotting for those of us who aren't into plotting or aren't ready for it? I was thinking it may be a good way to define the 3 major parts of the story -- beginning, middle and end. Of course, doing this would mean leaving out the actual conclusion to the story.

Or am I off my rocker?Glynis Jollyhttp://speculationsimpressed.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-14444690705564889572014-09-06T03:03:43.766-07:002014-09-06T03:03:43.766-07:00The pre-writing synopsis is very new to me (I grad...The pre-writing synopsis is very new to me (I gradually moved from pantsing to plotting over the course of several years), so I totally get that. Most writers don't do the synopsis until after the book is done (for querying/publishing purposes), but I definitely recommend you give it a go for brainstorming sometime if you ever want to try out plotting. :)Ava Jaehttp://avajae.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-88204318687096171622014-09-02T07:53:41.250-07:002014-09-02T07:53:41.250-07:00I haven't tried something like a synopsis yet....I haven't tried something like a synopsis yet. As a pantser I keep on writing hoping it all fits together. However, I do define my main characters before I start writing so that it's easier to see them in my head. When I think of ideas I want to corporate into the story while I write it, I do write notes so that the ideas keep their original form.Glynis Jollyhttp://speculationsimpressed.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606209712314101104.post-7641928403237771312014-09-01T08:40:20.162-07:002014-09-01T08:40:20.162-07:00Very helpful!
